KDE freeze

Post by Yarra » 2018/10/10 14:48:02

I work at CentOs workstation all day and it's all is ok.
If I leave the computer to work at night (or any long time) when i open application menu (standart menu from KDE4), a get freeze of DE. Restart of DE solve problem.

Is it possible to fix this problem?

I try to change nvidia-driver to older version - nothing changed,

Make sure you are running the latest kernel. Run yum update to get up to date then check that you are running at least 3.10.0-862.14.4.el7 after the subsequent reboot.

I asked because 3.10.0-862.14.4.el7 has suspend/resume fixes in it that have cured similar problems for me on my laptop.

This problem is relevant to the last 5-10 release kernels at CentOs 7
