IPSET Compatibility

Post by GeoT » 2018/11/07 05:00:31

Hi,

I have centos 6.9 with 2.6.32-754.6.3.el6.x86_64 kernel. It seems that installing xtables-addon v1.37 cause the kernel to load ipset v4.5 modules.
Now my ipset v6.11 does not work I get kernel errors, so it seems a kernel problem. Disaster really as I use ipset extensively with fail2ban and iptables.

The readme of xtables-addon states that I need Linux Kernel >= 2.6.35 for ipset v6 to work. This is still not available anywhere?

Anyone have a suggestion of how to overcome this annoyance?

Regards,

/Geo
