Novice remote desktop question
I am running Chrome Remote Desktop on CentOS 7 without any problems whatsoever, but I have a question: when I access my computer remotely, it brings me to the login screen, where I type in my user/pass and get to the desktop, and I can open all my apps as I please. However, when I then sit physically at the computer and enter my credentials, the desktop doesn't have any of the apps open that I previously opened in the remote desktop session -- it's as if that remote session "lives" somewhere else. My question is: is there any way to access the remote desktop session when I'm physically present at the computer? Does anyone know why it would behave this way?

Yes.
Just do the same you would do from a remote machine but replace your IP address with 'localhost'.
Keep in mind that logging out from the remote session will actually destroy it and you won't be able to access it locally.
