I'm trying to install gcc 8 on centos 7 and the way to do this seems to be using devtoolsets and devtoolset-8 got released by red hat 2 ish weeks ago.

It doesn't appear to be available yet only devtoolset-7 any ideas when ?
not sure how the centos software collections repo works but this looks like it's getting build at least http://mirror.centos.org/centos/7/sclo/x86_64/rh/
devtoolset-8
Re: devtoolset-8
I guess you either wait for the SCLo SIG to complete their rebuild of devtoolset-8 or you get your copy from somewhere else (Springdale has already released a rebuild).
