Netconsole module not loaded.

Post by hack3rcon » 2018/12/18 07:47:05

Hello.
When I want to see all services that are running then it show me:

Code: Select all

$ service --status-all
netconsole module not loaded
Configured devices:
lo eno16780032
Currently active devices:
lo eno16780032 virbr0
Is it a Kernel problem?

Thank you.

Arch Linux wiki describes netconsole as:
netconsole is a kernel module that sends all kernel log messages (i.e. dmesg) over the network to another computer, without involving user space (e.g. syslogd). Name "netconsole" is a misnomer because it's not really a "console", more like a remote logging service.
Do you need that kind of functionality? If not, then the message you got is not a problem.

I don't think these two are related.

Plus I already gave you the solution for the other thread.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
Info for USB installs on http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/InstallFromUSBkey
CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

I removed that kernel and reboot the system but when I use the "service --status-all" command then, I got the same error.
