We are running lot of our applications on CentOS and the applications are built on Java EE stack. Currently they are using Oracle JDK.
Now that Oracle wants to pay a subscription fee for getting security updates for Oracle JDK 8, we are looking for alternatives.
We have been looking at OpenJDK implementation from different vendors which provide longer support -
* AdoptOpenJDK - which provides OpenJDK 8 support/security fixes until - Sep 2023 (https://adoptopenjdk.net/support.html)
* Redhat provides support for OpenJDK 8/ security fixes until - June 2023 (https://access.redhat.com/articles/1299013) (of course, not free)
I have been searching online for a similar information regarding CentOS support for OpenJDK 8 with security fixes but haven't been successful in finding one.
Please advise how long is the support for OpenJDK 8 for CentOS?
Thanks!

Re: CentOS OpenJDK support
CentOS is a rebuild of RHEL.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
