CentOS 7.6 Installation Failed

Post by COSLouis » 2019/02/12 04:08:07

Hi Sir,

Hese is my situation:

Install CentOS 7.6 => Failed (See 8 Penguins and shutdown)
Install CentOS 7.6 with acpi=off -> Failed (hang blank screen)

Install CentOS 7.5 -> Failed (See 8 Penguins and shutdown)
Install CentOS 7.5 with acpi=off -> PASS !!!!!!!!!

I'd like to install CentOS successfully. What could I try?
What's related modification from 7.5 to 7.6 ?

Thank you.

If the install only works with acpi=off then check for BIOS updates.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

Thank you for reply.

If the install only works with acpi=off, what would be the possible root cause for BIOS? (I am BIOS a engineer solving this problem.)

And our CentOS 7.6 installation failed no matter acpi=off or not.
