rsyslogd not working automatically after rebooting

Post by ssharma12 » 2019/02/12 06:45:16

we are running on rsyslog version-rsyslog-8.24.0-12.el7.x86_64
Post reboot, its requires restarts of rsyslog service to log events- need help in analysing the root cause. Also please note that this issue is reproducible only in one particular server, every time after reboot.
after reboot if we are starting rsyslogd manually it is working fine, only issue when we rebooting our system.
please find the logs:
[root@vnt-cm1a remoteadmin]# sudo journalctl | grep rsys
Feb 10 18:28:02 username systemd[1]: rsyslog.service: main process exited, code=killed, status=11/SEGV
Feb 10 18:28:02 username systemd[1]: Unit rsyslog.service entered failed state.
Feb 10 18:28:02 username systemd[1]: rsyslog.service failed.
Feb 10 18:28:02 username systemd[1]: rsyslog.service holdoff time over, scheduling restart.

Kindly help on this.

Thanks in advance.

Regards
Sachin

Please don't start multiple threads about the same problem. Closing this one.
