Hi,
I'm on CentOS 7.6. I need a mp3pro encoder and decoder for linux.
Any suggestions?
mp3pro encoder and decoder for linux?
Re: mp3pro encoder and decoder for linux?
This somewhat dated article may help.
https://www.thanassis.space/mp3pro.html
A cursory google indicates that ffmpeg doesn't handle mp3pro, but I didn't look that hard. I would try googling with keywords like linux mp3pro and ffmpeg mp3pro and see if you have any luck.
The other option that first article mentions, wine, may also be a solution. I haven't tested any of this though.

Re: mp3pro encoder and decoder for linux?
Yes I know that article.
There's also Nero for linux (also a bit dated), which I think has an mp3pro encoder, but there's no single nero mp3pro enc/dec for linux as it has for neroaac for linux.
Is there any way to use the Nero's mp3pro library through cli for encoding and maybe to insert the mp3pro cli in programs such as fre:ac for mass encoding?
