Subversion 1.8

Post by thomasbrown » 2019/06/19 18:19:05

Hello, I have a problem setting up Subversion on CentOS 7.6.1810. The only supported Subversion version in the CentOS base repo is 1.7.14, however, we would need at least 1.8.10. How is it possible to upgrade Subversion to 1.8.10 or downgrade the working copy from 1.8.10 to 1.7.14?

I found a package from WANDisco SVN Repo however a user on stackoverflow advises against using it https://stackoverflow.com/questions/329 ... 0#32922130

The centos-release-scl repo contains sclo-subversion19* packages. SCLs have a support lifecycle of 3 years and I'm not sure when that one expires.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

As this isn't a rebuild of a RH sofware collection, it probably hasn't any special support at all: it's just there. :)
