Adding extra disks to fresh Centos 7 install

Post by ezli » 2015/01/04 18:08:17

Hi all...first post
I just installed Centos 7 to my computer (320GB HDD) and want to add (2) disks (2TB each)
Not RAID....JABOD setup
Both are the same WD Red 2TB....bought at same time...same model
I have "Drive 1" setup and the entire drive is one partion....appears and can be mounted-have put about 250GB of data on it already....Used Disks to partition and format and all looks good in "Disks"
"Drive 2" has (1) 250 GB partition that's mountable and looks good under "Disks"
I am trying to partition the remainder of the disk and would like to have a partition that takes up the remainder of "Drive2"

Getting error:
Error Creating Partition
Don't know how to create partitions this partition table of type "PMBR (usdisks-error-quark,0)

Have deleted all partitions on Drive 2 multiple times...will allow me to make first partition...but not second. Have also used different sizes for second partition...need it to be at least 1TB. I can read/writed to first 250Gb partition on that drive.....

What am I doing wrong?

We don't know because you have not told us what you have done.
