lenovo y50 with nvidia crash

Post by 1885 » 2015/06/20 13:33:29

GeoForce GTX 860m

I have a Lenovo y 50 running Centos 7. I tried to install the Nvidia drivers.
nvidia-detect indicated I should install bumblebee. So I did. This was the package that caused the following:

When I "startx" I get a message "Oh no! Something has gone wrong" A problem has occurred and your system can not recover.

Prior to installing bumblebee I got an error that indicated
No Screen found.

I ran an Xorg -configure and got a xorg.conf.new

(Where does that file go?

Thanks

Have you seen ELRepo's web page on bumblebee? The maintainer of bumblebee is active in the forum, so can hopefully assist you if you need further help.
