ELRepo don't use amdgpu as far as I know. They package fglrx.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

Yeah probably, I didn't checked.
What I wanted to clarify:
- "newport" tried to install to install amdgpu-pro from the official AMD package. This is currently the right thing to do. But it doesn't work yet on CentOS.
- then he/she tried to install fglrx from elrepo. This is the wrong way in anycase, as fglrx do not support Polaris GPU at all.
