Graphic cards support

Post by aquapura4 » 2017/02/21 14:22:15

Hi

I'm new to Centos and I want to install a graphics card in a server simply for GPU support to speed up some maths operations with keras. I have found a card that i want Asus AMD Radeon HD6450 R5 230 2GB i need a slim small card because i'm trying to fit this inside a 1u server. I already have a Centos7 minimal install on the system. If I install this card should it just work out of the box with standard drivers? Or would I need to install something more? I have tried to find if this card has linux drivers available however wasn't able to find anything...

Does Centos detect graphics cards on installation and install appropriate drivers? I'm wondering because unfortunately I have already installed the OS. Can anyone please give me some guidance around this before i order the card?

Thanks
