Install on Ryzen

Post by kbocek » 2017/03/17 17:49:36

I'm seeing notes about crashes when installing EL7 on Ryzen and that the solution is to install the 4.10 kernel from elrepo-kernel.

Does anyone have any notes about installing on a Ryzen host?

Specifically, Phoronix states they attempted a Centos 7 install but that it hung.

Please package up your Ryzen system and address it to me and I will test it for you...
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
