Hi
I've been trying to install Centos 7 (1611) to an Acer Aspire ES1-533-P7T9 (Upgraded with 8GB RAM). and have encountered two problems:
1. The install does complete but is very very slow, which I can live with
2. When running, Centos seems to freeze for about 1 second every 10 to 20 seconds, which makes it fairly unusable.
I noticed when running the installer that a message to the effect that the processor was unrecognised was displayed.
As a test I have tried to install Ubuntu 16.04, which works happily and doesn't display the freeing problem, but has its own problems setting up the UEFI boot loader.
Any thoughts on what is wrong ? possible fix ?
Any help gratefully received !
