Hi,
I want to know if centos 7 will work on my old compaq proliant dl360 g1 server that currently runs centos 5. I just cant seem to find the answer. Any pointers?
Thanks

Re: Compaq server supporthi,
If it has a hardware RAID controller then that is unlikely to be supported by CentOS 7. The driver that supported all RAID cards prior to the P410 has been deprecated and removed in CentOS 7. There are ways around this but, a G1? Really, that must be about 20 years old?
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
