Looking for any success stories if CentOS has been successfully deployed on a Dell server (FC630) using the PERC H330 hardware raid controller.
Thank you,

CentOS 7 on Dell H330 PERC
Re: CentOS 7 on Dell H330 PERC
Should be fine but be aware that H330 controllers are on the sh*t side of things. They have no cache RAM so all parity calculations take forever, the write rate is limted to the speed of the disks etc. If you can, get an H730[P].
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

Re: CentOS 7 on Dell H330 PERC
Thanks for the reply. I agree, typically go with the H730, but the customer is simply looking to boot to a RAID1 for the OS since the internal SD cards only support a hypervisor and not a native OS.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
