HP Notebook Hybrid graphics

Post by Wheelerof4te » 2017/06/27 17:30:08

Hello.

I need information on hardware support of my hybrid graphics notebook:

1) Intel Pentium 3825U with Intel HD Graphics (1.9 GHz, 2 MB cache, 2 cores) (Broadwell)
2) AMD Radeon R5 M330 Graphics (1 GB DDR3 dedicated)

Wi-Fi chip is Broadcom 802.11b/g/n (1x1)

Minimal iso image boots fine and installer recognizes Ethernet.

Are most of these supported out of the box?

I have waited for some time now, but still not one answer. Maybe I need to generalize my question a bit more. What are your experiences with HP laptops on CentOS 7? How well is the hardware supported? Will my AMD card work if I install the Catalyst driver from AMD drivers page:
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/linux

For my card, there is a driver for RHEL only, but that's more or less the same.

Also, I intend to use CentOS as a general office work desktop only. No gaming.
