Hi Team,
I want to install CentOS 7 or later release on my laptop HP 13-u133tu.
Is CentOS 7 or later supported with the below CPU specifications.
Intel® Core™ i5-7200U (2.5 GHz, up to 3.1 GHz, 3 MB cache, 2 cores)
8 GB DDR4-2133 SDRAM (1 x 8 GB)
I tried installing Rhel7.2, but installation failed. I got the error that this CPU family is not supported. So installation failed at very initial step of hardware inspection.
please suggest which CentOS release must be downloaded for installation.
Thanks in advance
Ashish

7.2 is ancient, 7.3 is the current CentOS release and 7.4 is just around the corner. I suspect 7.2 predates your processor.
That message is just a warning anyway and would not stop the install.

The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
