Hi,
I am running latest CentOS on the home server and looking to get a GPU for codec transcoding (Plex, Emby, Zoneminder - all using ffmpeg I believe).
Could someone recommend a GPU that has the best support in CentOS and does not require a monitor to be connected?
The motherboard is Supermicro X11SSM-F-O (https://www.supermicro.com/products/mot ... 1SSM-F.cfm)
It has PCI-Express 3.0 x8 and PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots.
Would really appreciate if someone could recommend a card or even better share their experiences with hardware transcoding on CentOS.
Thank you!
Best GPU for headless CentOS box ?
Re: Best GPU for headless CentOS box ?
Looking at https://trac.ffmpeg.org/wiki/HWAccelIntro your best bet might be card that supports NVIDIA CUDA.
Personally didn't test it so refer to the link.
