Re: NVIDIA GeForce 820 and Centos7
Trying other times we have found that the problem in file /etc/X11/xorg.conf
before to run the command "X -configure" there is no file xorg.conf
running the command the file is created in /root/xorg.conf.new
after we have to copy file from /root/xorg.conf.new to /etc/X11/xorg.conf (/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/xorg.conf)
the system go and after reboot the gui is enabled.
Open the NVIDIA server setting to configure appear message "you do not appear be using the NVIDIA X driver. please edit your configuration file just run nvidia-xconfig as root and restart the x server."
running this command the new xorg.conf file is no correct and the GUI don't start.
If Ichange this file whit the original (the old file produced with "X -configure" ), when I reboot, the system go ok, but without use the NVIDIA drivers.
Somebody can help us?
thanks in advance
