I am new and I could not find a link to a similar problem.
I can not get any sound to my speakers from the CentOS Sound, Speaker Test.
I have installed CentOS 7, Kernal 3.10.0-693.1.1.el7.x86_64, on an Intel NUC7i5BNH.
This PC has the following CPU and Graphical:
CPU: Intel Core i5-7260U
Graphics: Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640
I am using HDMI, the NUC output goes through an IOGear HDMI KVM switch to an Acer monitor and my speakers are plugged into the monitor.
I have swapped the cables between the 2 PCs attached to the switch.
When the Left Speaker test button is touched, I get a small pop.
I verified that the 2nd PC continues to work using the KVM switch after I moved the cables.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Re: CentOS 7 on NUC7i5bnh has no audio on HDMI
i have a feeling this won't help, but....
in the gnome workspace manager
system tools --> settings --> sound
and i always have to click on the hdmi line -- hdmi isn't the
default.
i can't remember whether i got a "pop" or not.
my kvm is an iogear miniview, FWIW.
