Need driver for RealTek rtl8811AU wifi USB dongle?

# lsusb
Bus 003 Device 003: ID 0bda:a811 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL8811AU 802.11a/b/g/n/ac WLAN Adapter

# lsmod... does now show any loaded module/driver for this device.

Apparently this IC is newer than what CentOS 7.x supports? Someone has to be working on adding this USB WLAN adapter, right? It is really popular USB wifi dongle, works fine in Windows 10.

There are various sources for this device in git, but no clue which one is best, or could be compiled under CentOS?

Is there a way to official request this device is to be supported by CentOS? AC compatible USB wifi is gaining scope, so CentOS should add this to the list, no?

Your best bet is to ask ELRepo if they can find a driver for it and build a kmod.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
