Will that make any good if I put temp folder and also from some other programs which have temp folders, all to SSD?
Will that make all go faster than now?
Any thoughts about that.
temp folder on SSD
Re: temp folder on SSD
There is no general answer to this question as it depends on how much the programs you are typically using are writing and reading information to/from temporary files. Most programs write no data to temp files at all.

Re: temp folder on SSD
In latest versions of LVM , there is lvm cache which is quite smart and will protect your ssd from unneeded stress.
You can find plenty 'how-to'-s over the internet.
Also another option (if you have enough ram) is to make your /tmp -> ram based FS. There is a predefined systemd service for that.

Re: temp folder on SSD
So generally using SSD for cache or temp files is not an good idea?
Re: temp folder on SSD
The default CentOS 7 setup out of the box uses tmpfs for /tmp - that's RAM and swap backed so would be even faster than SSD. The only reason to change it would be if you need more space than tmpfs provides.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
