Hey, I've had a lot of struggles with Centos 7.4 and AMD GPU Drivers. I've followed AMD instructions along with some other things found in a few forums with no luck.
I'm running AMD FX 8320 and an R9 390 on Centos 7.4
I'd like to install AMD Drivers and Vulkan. Use case is running Davinci Resolve 15 with two Intensity Pro 4k Capture Cards and running linux wine and Emulators.
Plenty of work Beyond AMD Drivers, but help on understanding what packages I need would be extremely helpful. They're is very little info on the Web about installing AMD GPU Drivers on Centos.
Part of the issue I believe revolves around Red Hat. I've created a Red Hat account. I'm not sure what steps need to be made to make sure my Centos machine is detected as having a Red Hat account so assistance they're would also be great.
Thanks for the help.

There's no connection between a RH account and a CentOS system.Part of the issue I believe revolves around Red Hat. I've created a Red Hat account. The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

Re: CentOS 7 AMD GPU Driver Tutorial
I believe some required red hat packages for pre amd driver install is required and requires a Red Hat Account. No sure, but I'm trying anything to get AMD drivers up on Centos.
Re: CentOS 7 AMD GPU Driver Tutorial
I don't think so.

Re: CentOS 7 AMD GPU Driver Tutorial
Do you know what steps are needed to install amd drivers?
Re: CentOS 7 AMD GPU Driver Tutorial
After spending some time trying in vain to get vulkan-enabled AMD drivers for my FirePro W7100 working in Ubuntu (16.06 and 18.04), I had hoped for more success with CentOS.
However, I didn't get very far as there seems to be a basic error in the install script with amdgpu-pro-18.30-674411-rhel-7.4, giving:
amdgpu-pro--install: line 241: cd: amdgpu-pro-install: Not a directory
I am running CentOS 7.5 but the error seems more fundamental than this. I can't believe I'm the only person for whom following installation instructions for the various packages hasn't worked.
Has anyone ever got over the finish line for vulkan development with any drivers in any flavour of Linux for a graphics card like mine?
The only other option now seems to be WIndows!
