CentOS 7 ACPI: \_SB_.PWRB: ACPI_NOTIFY_DEVICE_WAKE event

Hi

Dmesg reports of these messages:

kernel: ACPI: \_SB_.PWRB: ACPI_NOTIFY_DEVICE_WAKE event
kernel: ACPI: \_SB_.PWRB: ACPI_NOTIFY_DEVICE_WAKE event
kernel: ACPI: \_SB_.PWRB: ACPI_NOTIFY_DEVICE_WAKE event

Many messages per second. The power button is waking it up from sleeping? Nobody presses the button. Load on cpu (60%) and LA 2.5-3.0.

How to fix?

I'd start by checking for a newer BIOS for the machine.

What to look for in the BIOS?

No, a whole new one from the manufacturer that you can flash to the machine. This looks like a bug in their ACPI code to me, repeatedly generating invalid button pushes.
