[SOLVED by Centos7.6] Intel AC-9462 driver/firmware
I have a new Dell G3 I7 with the Intel AC-9462 wifi card and the Intel site talks about, but doesn't supply, an iwlwifi for my card (nor has one for a kernel 3.n).
What need I do to get my wifi working in CentOS7?
Thank you.

Re: Intel AC-9462 driver/firmware
Post the output from lspci -nn | grep -i -E "wirel|net"
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

Re: Intel AC-9462 driver/firmware
From what I see from running grep 8086 /lib/modules/3.10.0-862.11.6.el7.x86_64/modules.* | grep -i a370 that card should be supported by the latest CentOS kernel. If it's not working then do you have any output from dmesg | grep -i iwlwifi ?

Re: Intel AC-9462 driver/firmware
There is no output from your dmesg command.
Perhaps there's a package that didn't get installed? The card isn't even detected; only network adapter is my working P6P1 wired card.
And, the results of your first command:

And if you `modprobe iwlwifi` ?

Re: Intel AC-9462 driver/firmware
How about if you modprobe -r iwlwifi then modprobe it again. It should show _something_ in the output from dmesg.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
