SunFire X4100 sas driver help

Post by agustin.tejero » 2019/02/27 14:09:19

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to install CentOs 7 into an old server SunFire X4100 but the hard drives can't be detected in the installation of the CentOs7. The official drivers are no more available for free so, I'm looking any third party driver that makes the magic happens.

Server : SunFire X4100

Firmware : 1.0v

Storage : 2x Brand : Fujitsu

Model : MAY2073RCSUN73G

Interface : SAS

Capacity : 73GB

SO : CentOs 7.6 x64

Kernel : 4.20.10

What is the output from lspci -nn | grep -i raid run from a linux command prompt?
CentOS 5 died in March 2017 - migrate NOW!
CentOS 6 goes EOL sooner rather than later, get upgrading!

I was able to break the RAID of the disks through the CLI and with that I was able to visualize the disks in the installation. But now I have problems with the network, because at the time of the installation of CentOs7 it does not detect any network device and I already tried it with a TL-WN721N tp-link adapter that works well with CentOs7 but does not detect it either. Any suggestions on how to add a network driver that works for me?
