CentOS is friggin awesom!

One note for those who dual boot with Windows is that for Windows (not for CentOS7) you will need to install the driver that comes with the dongle on a mini CD, there is an .exe you'll need to run as Windows won't find the driver by itself.

Had good luck with an Encore dongle a few years back - plugged it in and it just worked in Fedora and Windows.

Cool lightman47

The problem here was that I only have access to the internet via WiFi and the old dongle that I had showed up as a wired connection in CentOS7

see my other thread here:
viewtopic.php?f=49&t=49950

I did ask around (also on IRC) if anyone knew of a Dongle that would work straight out of the box for CentOS7 but no luck so I took a chance and bought a couple of dongles off eBay, one didn't work, this one did.

This made me happy and I was forced to go out and buy some beers
