Named service - duplicate record

Post by marianopower » 2017/06/30 07:31:00

Good morning everyone.

I kindly ask you for help with my problem.
I have clonzilla server based on Centos 7 with dhcpd drbl nf and named.

In our company we very offen change name of endpoints in lab. IP addres are fixed.
Problem is local DNS based on named service. After change coumputer name we can ping this maschine by new name by we also can ping this maschine IP by old name.
It is any option how to avoid this kinds of situation.

I tryed to decrease TTL in named database but this do not solved my problem

Do you have your dhcp server hooked up to your DNS server and able to update it using nsupdate with keys?
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
