nmcli general permissions & nmcli general

Post by N8tiv » 2017/09/10 07:28:09

:geek: :ugeek:

When I type in "nmcli general permissions" at the SSH command line:

PERMISSION VALUE
org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.enable-disable-network no
org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.enable-disable-wifi no
org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.enable-disable-wwan no
org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.enable-disable-wimax no
org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.sleep-wake no
org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.network-control auth
org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.wifi.share.protected no
org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.wifi.share.open no
org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.settings.modify.system auth
org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.settings.modify.own auth
org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.settings.modify.hostname auth
org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.settings.modify.global-dns auth
org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.reload auth
org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.checkpoint-rollback auth
org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.enable-disable-statistics no

Then I type in "nmcli general":

STATE CONNECTIVITY WIFI-HW WIFI WWAN-HW WWAN
connected full enabled enabled enabled enabled

definitely learn a lot by reading the man pages, but… Some of the examples/exercises might be needed to be translated into newbie speak? LOL :-)

Some of those network manager settings, at some point… Am I going to need them to say yes? If so, where can I find the configuration file? System file?

Just about any feedback on the subject's would be interesting to hear… :-)

Thanks in advance,

Rob
