Minimal Intalation and Connections

Exists a step by step manual ro configure a network connection from a minimal instalation ?

Use nmtui (part of the NetworkManager-tui package) or nmcli. nmtui is an ncurses based text only editor, nmcli is the command line network manager cli tool that's parameter driven.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
Info for USB installs on http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/InstallFromUSBkey
CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

This seems like Minimal Centos is only for experts. I have seen that neither the networkmanager comes installed and the connection to the internet is essential to follow up the installation.
There is a step by step to solve this? Or not?
