Multiple IP Addresses on same interface - cannot remove

Post by twildt » 2017/12/31 22:49:31

Hello, how do I remove the second IP Address from my eth0 interface?

I have tried "sudo ip add del" but after I restart network service it comes back. It's also changing my "resolv.conf" nameservers as well. I was using realm app to join this server to my active directory domain, but at this point i have removed the server from the domain so it is no longer joined.

my resolv.conf file keeps reverting back to old ip addresses after I change also.

I have the network set with only my new static ip address here:
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

And i'm set to static:
BOOTPROTO=none

any help would be much appreciated. this is driving me nuts.
