Tryting to print form my laptop on a printer connected to the network with a statis IP, but not managed through CUPS.
The printer is setup through printer config on laptop and I can ping its IP.
I get these warnings/errors:
E [22/Jan/2018:18:19:24 +0100] [cups-deviced] PID 5406 (dnssd) stopped with status 1!
W [22/Jan/2018:18:20:17 +0100] CreateProfile failed: org.freedesktop.ColorManager.AlreadyExists:profile id 'MFC-1910W-Gray..' already exists
W [22/Jan/2018:18:20:22 +0100] CreateProfile failed: org.freedesktop.ColorManager.AlreadyExists:profile id 'MFC-1910W-Gray..' already exists
How go I neet to setup the client? Do I actually need CUPS if the printer is not managed through a CUPS server?
Do I need to open a port?
Thanks for your help.
