NIC teaming issue

Post by saquib.akhtar » 2018/03/12 04:07:37

I have configured NIC teaming in centos 7.4 with policy as active-backup.
But when the WAN link for one line goes down (LAN is still up), then why does it not switches to another link for internet connection?

Teaming and bonding protects you against link failiure. As yours is still up -> nothing will happen.

So, I need to perform continuous ping check for WAN connectivity?

Yes, and change the defaut route (most probably via script) to match the working interface.
