NetworkManager-wait-online.service

Post by JustSomeGeek » 2018/06/23 09:42:28

Hi folks,

I've read a lot of posts about this causing severe boot delays, but i'm still unsure of how to start diagnosing the actual problem, and learning how to influence the behaviour of the service.

My CentOS 7.5 desktop has 3 Intel NIC's. One onboard, and a dual Intel 4xPCIe:

00:1f.6 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation Ethernet Connection (2) I219-V
03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82571EB Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 06)
03:00.1 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82571EB Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 06)

I've tried adding the PCIe card to the VFIO devices to get the system to ignore them completely at boot, as I only use it for VM's, never for the host.
