KVM Bridge, Host connection

So I have searched for days to no avail. I am able to create a bridge on the host. And I realized that the host loses its IP address. Now is my main issue, if I want to ssh into the host how do I do that since the host network no longer has an IP

In such a bridged configuration, you should assign the IP address to the bridge and not to the physical interface. Perhaps the IP address would stick better that way.
