My work network requires smart card authentication for nearly all services. I have smart card authentication configured for workstation login and web site access, but smart card authentication for access to the wireless network has me stumped.
Basic requirements:
Network Name (SSID): <ssid>
Network Authentication: WPA2 Enterprise
Data Encryption: AES
EAP Type: Smart Card or EAP-TLS
This is a fairly straightforward setup in the Windows and Mac worlds, but I'm not finding a workable combination in Network Manager or in browsing the files in network-scripts. And so far Google hasn't turned up anything useful. I'm hoping I'm just overlooking something simple.
Thanks in advance!
Wireless Network Smart Card Authentication
Re: Wireless Network Smart Card Authentication
Don't know, but EAP (Extensible Authentication Protocol - extensive being the major term) . I guess the EAP is login/password, where login is your login name and password is the (possibly) one time authentication phrase generated by the "smart" card (and no, they are not "smart").
