Can ping google.com from server but cant ping box from network

Although details are lacking - have you tried pinging it by hostname, and THEN it's ip address? If the address works but not the hostname then you have a name resolution (DNS) issue.

Linux by default does NOT advertise hostnames the way Windows does. There are ways around that though.
