Hello! I migrate from windows+debian operations system to windows+centos7 but i can not install mt7601u driver. On Debian i use stretch backports to install driver, but any manuals what i find did not help me install this driver on CentOS 7. Please tell me or give a link to the manual how to install it on CentOS7 100% working for this moment (2019).

Unfortunately it appears there is no driver for that card in CentOS itself nor is there one in the 3rd party yum repo, ELRepo, who specialise in hardware support. You could try opening an RFE request on the ELRepo bug tracker but it might be easier, quicker and more reliable just to buy a different adapter that does have support.

While the CentOS distro kernel does not have the mt7601u driver, CentOS offers a couple of newer kernels:

kernel-4.14: http://mirror.centos.org/altarch/7/kern ... /Packages/

kernel-4.19: http://mirror.centos.org/altarch/7/expe ... /Packages/

Both kernels have that driver enabled. So you may want to give them a try.

And there is also now a kmod-mt7601 in ELRepo (presumably still in -testing but maybe already promoted to the main repo).

Thank you very much for the answers. I then really wrote a ticket to ELREPO. They advised me this, and when I unsubscribed that everything worked, they soon added a main repo.
