NetworkManager Disconnecting Every Hour

Post by almondon » 2023/07/21 02:14:19

Dear All,

I have almost similar problem with my Centos 7 system,
my internet is connected trough cable, it works fine.
But, every time I shut down the PC the internet would be disabled and I need sometimes to shut down and turn on several times
to fix the issue.
(Also, sometimes I need to shut down and put the plug off for 20 sec and turn on again.)

I would be thankful for your help.

Cheers

Split away from viewtopic.php?f=50&t=61229

Please do not hijack ancient threads. Next time raise your own and describe the problem in detail and link to anything similar you may find.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

I've seen this kind of thing on cheap mobos, try resetting or updating the BIOS

also take a look at
cat /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-XXXX | grep -i boot
ONBOOT=yes
