We ran a yum update to bring our servers from 7.2 to 7.4. It ran cleanly and we rebooted after. However the Spectre meltdown checker script is still showing that the server is still vulnerable to Spectre variant 2. Do we need to do anything besides a yum and reboot?
Pardon the CentOS newb,

Make sure you have the latest BIOS for your machine installed.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

This Is a CentOS VM in Azure. I have no access to the bios that I’m aware of. I just know that Microsoft migrated the VM to a new host. Thoughts?
