Hello, I have updated my CentOS 7 box. I ran the Spectre vulnerability checker and it reports that I am still vulnerable to the variant 2.
There is no microcode update available for this CPU, so my question is: how much in danger am I when using this computer (I am using it as a desktop, NOT as a server)?
Most important question about it:
Will a Javascript or some other exploit somewhere be able to completely read all the data in my computer's memory and thus steal all the files that I have open?
Thanks in advance.
Spectre variant 2 - no microcode
