vsftp and Brute-force attack

Post by hack3rcon » 2018/12/04 13:28:00

Hello.
I installed "vsftp" on CentOS 7 x86_64 and how can I block "Brute-force" attack? For example, if someone enters 3 incorrect passwords, then his/her IP address blocked.

Thank you.

You'll need to install and configure some sort of log checking utility like fail2ban or sec.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
