Boot iso won't install without a rep

Post by fletchb » 2019/10/17 17:20:54

I am trying to install centos but it basically locks up because it can't find a repo and won't let me pick another one.

is there an easier way to install this?

Thanks.

The boot iso is the old "netinstall" one and needs to be able to connect to a mirror - either a public one or your own local one. The other alternative t present is the full DVD and that's recommended for people that don't run their own local mirrors.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
