[SOLVED] Installing wine on CentOS 5.5 via PuTTY
Welcome to the CentOS fora. Please see the recommended reading for new users linked in my signature.
PuTTY is not really relevant, although I don't know how you intend to run Windows applications without a GUI - let's leave that for another topic.
Please read about Installing Software and Repositories, and note the warnings and advice about installing and configuring the yum priorities plugin. Non-core repos should have a higher numeric value, which is a lower priority. Lower is "better" as in golf scores.
Log on and become root, install epel-release to configufe the EPEL repo, then
yum list wine\*
. Pick what packages you want and install then with yum.
