Rsync Configuration

Post by jason022 » 2012/02/06 12:40:50

Hello,
I have a Ubuntu Linux system setup to run backups using rsync. It received files from various clients. I've recently added a new Centos server to the network and would like to configure that to run rsync so it can be backed up as well. On the first attempt to run the backup from the server I get the Connection refused 111 error. But when I went to check the config file on the client I noticed that it wasn't there..

Can someone give me a hand to setup rsync on Centos? I trued yum install rsync and it only updated the existing application, there is still no rsync in /etc OR init.d.

Thanks

Welcome to the CentOS fora. Please see the recommended reading for new users linked in my signature.

Nothing is required in /etc for an rsync client. Please describe more fully what you are trying to do, exactly what command failed, and the complete error message produced.
