I am rocking 8-) CentOS 6.2 kernel 2.6.32-220.4.2.el6.x86_64 and love it! I needed a way to see login screen in vnc-server so I used the http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/VNC-Server and had great success but I have a few questions regarding configuration and bugs in the resulting desktop sessions.
Question #1) As per the how-to, when using Remote login with vnc-ltsp-config it enables the default vnc-client based session connections with default resolutions of 0:1024x768x16, 1:800x600x16, 2:640x480x16, 3:1024x768x8, 4:800x600x8, and 5:640x480x8. Is it possible to change these default vaules? I noticed that I can change resolution in Display Settings and the change is immediate but I have to repeat each time I login.
Question #2) I have no problem logging in as any user but several of the System-->Administration GUI's have problems. For instance System-->Administration-->Authentication (also Date & Time and Users & Groups) will prompt me to authenticate as root but when I enter root password the window never displays, selecting Authentication again results in nothing, not even query to authenticate as root. When I select System-->Administration-->Firewall the GUI opens up but I get an error "org.fedoraproject.slip.dbus.service.PolKit.NotAuthorizedException.org.fedoraproject.config.firewall.auth:" [Redo] [Quit]. By the way, I am using TightVNC on the same LAN as server, and I don't have any of these issues when logged in at the server.
TIA

Re: VNC-Server Questions
With regards to Question 2 I noticed that I do not receive the error in the Firewall config if I log into root desktop, however, the Authentication, Time, and Users config windows still don't open. :-(
