booting centos6.2 live cd on vista computer

Post by jon123 » 2012/03/06 18:37:12

when i try to boot the live cd 6.2 i get the splash screen and then a repeating message:

mount:/dev/mapper/live-rw already mounted or /sysroot busy
mount:/dev/mapper/live-rw already mounted or /sysroot busy
mount:/dev/mapper/live-rw already mounted or /sysroot busy
mount:/dev/mapper/live-rw already mounted or /sysroot busy
...etc

Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to Kill init!

how do i get the live cd to boot on my vista desktop?

thanks

Is that 64-bit disk? Can you try with a 32 bit disk?

Welcome to the CentOS fora. Please see the recommended reading for new users linked in my signature.

The OS on the computer should not be relevant. Have you verified the media? Have you tried the LiveCD on any other hardware?
